Hi Kyle,
I enjoyed your article, although I have some comments and a suggestion. I also live in Pennsylvania, and I am an Australian (and contributor to The Federalist . While I agree with the substance of your argument, it misses some important details which I believe I am “privy” to given my connections to both the US and Australian sides of this issue. In fact I have documented these in a piece that has been accepted by Spectator Australia—who was keen to hear my opinion being based in the US—and which is due to be published this week.
After you read my piece (if you’re interested; I will send you the link if you provide me your email address), I would like to suggest that you and I write a follow-up piece for The Federalist, based on the additional perspectives I will be able to provide. I’m sure Ben Domenech and Judith Pullman would be receptive to this idea.
I look forward to your response.
Best wishes,
Andrew
Andrew,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I’d love to read that. I’m trying to get e-mail set up here, but in the meantime please feel free to post a link in the comments.
