It’s Tax Day! Today at The Federalist, I wrote about how the government should better inform us about where our money goes each year.
Love your article because taxpayers should more of a say on where their tax dollars go. “No taxation without representation.” But how about instead of waiting for the government to show us, let’s have the Federalist sponsor a website where you can enter the taxes you pay (real or hypothetical) and a pie chart where you can allocate your tax dollars as a percentage to the various government departments and then email a snapshot of it to your congressperson. I’d be happy to help design it.
That’s not a bad idea.
